Time for our daily OPPO field trip to do what we always do, look at cars :]

Is that a Subaru panel van ?? Not a 323... I don't think... though the side windows look like the 323, also not a Datsun, though thats the closest in the front end, the tailights and rear fender vent-thingies sure look like a Subaru...

Edit: It's A KE36 Corolla van, just distorted by The Google street-view magic...

Based on the E30 Corolla, these things pop up with tweaked 4As swapped into them from time to time. Major sleeper cred, since they only came with a carborated 8v pushrod 1200 or 1300cc 3K or 4K from the factory...

It's a very attractive car in that color, and with those wheels. The extra width vs. the Galant really makes a difference in it's presence.

So Wikipedia tells me! The earlier Japan-built Diamantes were fairly popular in my area, but I can't honestly ever remember seeing a gen-2 Diamante on the road. I think I might have seen a VR-X at the local dealer once... maybe...
